Beginner Classes - Wheel Throwing - 4 weeks

Enjoy the sense of achievement you get from creating something from start to finish. You will learn pottery wheel throwing techniques, with a focus on getting the process right.
Your class fee also includes:
- Unlimited clay to create your masterpieces
- Glazing & Firing for 2kgs of finished works. Excess works over 2kgs are charged at our standard firing rates
At the end of your 4 week course, as well as learning the basics of wheel throwing, you will have created several of your own unique pieces.
After your course your pieces will be fired and ready to glaze.
All beginner classes include a free glazing day which generally takes place a couple of weeks after you finish your course - where you will get to decorate your pieces ready for a final firing.
This series of classes will run over 4 consecutive weeks based on your selected day.
On the days of your classes we recommend: no long fingernails, or excess jewellery especially large rings, and we discourage open toed shoes.
It's a good idea to dress in older clothes and all you need to bring is a towel, along with a desire for fun and a sense of humour.

Chris was such a lovely, patient and kind teacher, and we had lots of laughs along the way. Will be booking in again very soon!!
Pottery is something I have wanted to explore for a few years. This beginner class has enabled a further want to explore and learn further. Thank you Chris - your patience is unparalleled and I loved the class, learning how clay behaves, trying to tell the clay what to do ( for me this still needs practise) and actually having vessels that will be useful! I’m sourcing pot pouri as we speak! lol Thank you I will be back but not for a couple of months.
I found the sessions to be comprehensive and so much fun. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable kind, and patient.
Thoroughly enjoyed my 4 weeks learning the fundamentals of pottery with Chris! His approach to teaching a bunch of beginners is to be commended 😁 Beldari pottery studio is well equipped and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. The bonus is that you get to take home several pieces of functional pottery. Can't wait to do it again!
